Long ago in China, during the reign of Emperor Wu of Jin, the Plum Blossom tree planted in the palace court bloomed when the Emperor enjoyed literature, and wilted when the Emperor neglected literature, which led to nickname the plum tree "Kobunboku" as the tree that loves literature. "Ko" means "nice", "Bun" means "elegant", "Boku" means "wood" or "tree". Kobunboku refers to the "plum blossom", a very precious ingredient of Japanese incense, which is known as "the flower of peace". "Tokusen" means 'excellent'. The traditional aromas of the Kobunboku line are very popular in Japan.
