Palmwood Mala
The beads of this Mala are made of coconut wood. They are similar to the seeds of the Bodhi Tree both in shape and appearance. The term Bodhi has its origin in Sanskrit and means Awakening and Enlightenment. Siddharta Gautama experienced his Awakening under a Bodhi Tree and became Buddha. Hence, this tree is a sacred symbol in Buddhism. Its seeds are commonly used for meditation because they have a calming, balancing and harmonizing effect.
This mala is relatively long because of the size of the coconut beads
